2nd grade arts class, a simple fish. The fascination with folding paper has been a part of me. Over the busy years of three young daughters and challenges of running a business to support our family, it sat in the backseat, though never forgotten. As the big six-o rolled around, a surge of ideas, and pockets of time finally gives my childhood joy a turn.

Of the many subjects tackled over the decades, sea shells have become my favorite, especially Robert Lang's exquisite murex and spider conch. Over a few months, and about two dozen complex derivative works based on Lang's beautiful models, it was a dream of mine to be able to design something that was originally mine.

On back and forth coast-to-coast flights, a dozen attempts slowly produce my very first original sea shell, a simple murex. God-willing, I'll have a few years to slowly create different and unique pieces, from realistic to imaginative shells of all kinds.

Folding aside, real estate agent by day, fingers also play guitar, accepted Jesus in '88, married HS sweetheart in '87, 3 girl dad, and Grandpa to Oyon.
