About Mark
Mathematician, teacher, Origami creator & folder from Kazakhstan, Central Asia. Cities: Astana, Almaty. Began Origami at age 7, nearly 1991, active creator from 1998. Published in England (BOS) and America (OUSA) in some Annual Collections, (mid-2010-s to present), in Russia (early 2000-s). Member and co-founder of Origami Kazakhstan (OK!) creative group, along with Kuat Konirbayev. Strongly interested in Mathematical and Technical Origami applications. Strongest Origami inspirations for life are: Kasahara & Takahama's "Origami for Connoisseur" (brilliant combination of Tomoko Fuse's, Jun Maekawa's, Toshikazu Kawasaki's, David Brill's, Peter Engel's, John Montroll's classical works of 80-s blended with mathematical pearls such as Haga's theorem); works of Robert J. Lang, Makoto Yamaguchi, Satoshi Kamiya, Eric Joisel.
