About Jeroen
I have been fascinated by origami since I was twelve years old. Eight years later, I started designing my own models. Most of these designs are waiting in a box to be finalized and diagrammed. I started diagramming again in 2024 and am making slow progress. To me, origami means using a single square piece of paper without cutting or gluing. I love the challenge of these limitations and the use of color change in models. My own models range from simple to intermediate complexity, and include animals (insects), plants, flying and rotating models, and models with symmetry. I use color change wherever possible. Occasionally, I fold a complex model by Robert Lang, Fumiaki Kawahata and others. Sometimes I use a bit of glue to stabilize the final models. My absolute favorite model is Jack Skillman's Jackstone: it has perfect 3D symmetry and is very stable.
