The Radial Turbine
"The Radial Turbine" is my modular origami model created by interlocking multiple identical 8 units of folded paper.
It features a circular, star-like shape with radial symmetry.
The sharp, angular points are all oriented in a single direction, creating a strong visual sense of rotation, much like a pinwheel or a turbine.
The model reflects the sharp, blade-like folds that suggest high-speed rotation.
I think it perfectly bridges the gap between the mural’s mechanical "radial" engines of the past and the modern, sharp "turbine" look of the folded paper.
