Reinventing the Wheel

3 unique applications of a newly designed rotating mount for a wheel on axel. - Over the past years I have designed a number of vehicles with rotating wheels including a Safari Truck, a Duesenberg, a dump truck, and a fire truck with an operational steering wheel. The wheels were fixed to the axel and any wheel attached would rotate at the same speed - which is not ideal for moving the vesical in a curved rout. The new wheel mount allows the wheel to rotate on the axel and has greatly reduced drag. The new wheel structure rotates better in turns and turns more freely in a straight line. The image shows 3 different decorative designs including a Mega-Kaleidoscopic twistere wheel, my standard wheel design on a new axel mount, and wind powered spinning device. The axel mount system will also improve the fluidity of origami gear structures. All parts are folded from rectangles of card stock and/or paper and assembled without glue.
