About Angeline
My name is Angeline Cuvertino. I am from Córdoba, Argentina, born in 2007, and I have been dedicated to origami for 13 years. From a very young age, I was passionate about transforming things with my own hands. My training was mainly self-taught between 2012 and 2016: I discovered origami almost by accident, without any knowledge of the institutional framework or the community behind this art form.

In 2016, at just 9 years old, I participated in my first Origami Argentina convention. That experience opened an entirely new world for me: people, stories, knowledge, and a universe of possibilities that transformed the way I understood this art.

I felt that something so meaningful could not be kept to myself, so I began teaching workshops at my school and later in a local café in my town. Origami not only inspired me to learn and teach, but also helped me develop consistency, discipline, and commitment.

I continued attending conventions in my country up to the present day, and I was recently awarded a scholarship to participate in Origami USA – PCOC 2025. This experience not only strengthened my training, but also allowed me to build meaningful connections and friendships with amazing people from all over the world.

Today, I teach workshops, I am an instructor at the National University of Córdoba (UNC – Virtual Campus), where I teach the art of origami, and I was a special guest at the University of Origami, organized by the Origami USA Youth Board.

Always happy to keep learning, teaching, and connecting with people who share the same passion.

Diagramming Capabilities

Most of my learning has been self-taught, and since I have always been interested in creating new models, I also had to learn diagramming alongside my practice. This process was made easier thanks to my technical training at school, which gave me a strong methodological and structural foundation.

Recently, my diagrams were published in the PCOC 2025 book organized by Origami USA, and I am currently preparing to release my own diagram book.

I create both vector-based diagrams and photo-based diagrams.

Teaching Experience

Since I can remember, I have practiced origami and shared it with others. Over time, this journey has been increasingly recognized and validated within institutional frameworks, allowing me to grow and develop at higher levels.

I began teaching in my primary school, then in workshops at a local café in my town, and more recently in institutions such as Origami USA and the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (Virtual Campus).

Teaching inspires me as much as learning, which is why I am always willing to share my knowledge and support others in their own learning journeys.

Featured Work
This is one of my latest designs, it’s a tessellation on a 48-division grid in Elephant Hide paper. It’s an expansion of a molecule I created some time ago, developed with the intention of resembling a flower. This is a simple pattern that helped me connect molecules. I liked the structure, so I developed it on a 64-division grid using Elephant Hide 110 gsm paper. I developed this tessellation without any twists, it uses only valley and mountain folds. If you’d like to try it yourself, the pattern will be published in the Origami USA magazine. This was one of my first designs, the Sakura tessellation. I currently have a tutorial on its molecule on YouTube if you’d like to try it. It can be made flat or three-dimensional. This model is another molecule extension. It’s based on a 48-division grid using Elephant Hide 110 gsm paper. Soon, I’ll be teaching a variation of it at the first virtual meeting of the Origami University, organized by Origami USA. I created this design on a 64-division grid. It’s called Triangle Knot because of the way the molecules connect. As an additional note, it can be made flat or three-dimensional.
