CFC Monthly Meeting - Teaching Origami

We are all origami teachers. With so many conventions and online events, I am sure all of us have been teaching a workshop at least once. But is it truly enough to call ourselves teachers?

Teachers of origami are our gatekeepers. In many cases, the first encounter of a folder with origami will be with a teacher. And this leads to a critical question - will there be a second time? I guess it's up to the teacher and the quality of his teaching.

What makes a teacher a good teacher? What are the necessary abilities to be one? Can and should we decide, or at least declare, who we think is a good teacher?
