From the Two Principles Arise the Four Symbols

How can a planar tessellation capture the flowing curves of a sphere? This is the question I sought to explore through this work.

Imagine a group of ants traveling across the surface of a sphere, each setting off from one pole at a different angle and following a spiral path toward the opposite pole. Their intertwined trails gradually form an intricate network across the spherical surface. By projecting this pattern onto a plane, the design of this work emerges.
