Loong

This origami loong is a re-creation inspired by the kui loong patterns on ancient Chinese jades from a millennium ago, an endeavor to recapture their millennial detailed features and aesthetic allure. Starting from the first draft, it took nearly a year and almost ten independently foldable versions were scrapped and redone, all in pursuit of the most perfect form.
