Heart Fractal (after xiaojiajiachong)
Heart Fractal is derived from a recursive square-based origami structure designed by xiaojiajiachong(小甲甲蟲). While preserving the original recursive logic and hierarchical relationships, I modified the geometric outline of the base unit, transforming the square module into a heart shape and developing a heart-based recursive configuration.
In this arrangement, the pointed bottom tip of each heart precisely traces the concave notch at the top of the next heart. This geometric alignment allows each heart unit to remain internally clean, avoiding additional lines caused by overlapping paper layers within the shape itself.
Through this reinterpretation, the work explores how a strictly rational recursive structure can be translated into a more symbolic and emotionally suggestive form, while maintaining structural clarity and geometric coherence.
