Conglomerate

Conglomerate is a modular origami work comprising of 30 bronze rectangles (1:sqrt(3)) which resembles a cluster of icosahedrons joined together. The resulting geometry is a surprisingly complex shape from a relatively simple triangle grid with only a few pleats that create the required angles and an elegant flap and pocket system. The units are easily connected, but create a very stable final model which is satisfying to fold and has an excellent payoff of being a unique design without being overly complicated.
