The Law of Condensation · Rhomboid Iteration

This work is my first complex recursive structure that departs from my flagstone-style designs.

Because the iterative motif chosen for this piece is intended to realize a specific and precise visual outcome, the term complex here does not refer to mathematical minimalism or efficiency.

Rather, the structure deliberately employs a comparatively complex crease system in order to allow the geometric form I envision to be realized through origami.

This work is a recursive fusion of two of my earlier pieces—Ice Crystal Vortex and Rhomboid Blossom (see the final image).

The shared “four-rhomboid flower” motif becomes the fundamental unit of the structure and is iterated inward toward the center.

The title The Law of Condensation · Rhomboid Iteration likewise emerges from the fusion of these two images: crystallization, blooming, and gradual condensation through repetition.

Compared to the flagstone-style recursive structures with which I am already familiar, realizing a complex recursive structure of this kind required me to rethink and adjust my existing design workflow.

Visually, this structure achieves a state of balance that I have been pursuing for a long time.

Beyond the intentionally articulated four-rhomboid floral tessellation, the remaining areas contain almost no extraneous paper-layer lines that would interfere with visual clarity. Even at the very core, the structure naturally resolves into another four-rhomboid flower, rather than an auxiliary geometric construction introduced solely to satisfy origami axioms.
